Poor Jon and Chuck. Completely outnumbered. And just watch -- Princess Aurora will turn out to be a total jock, as different from Leta as Coco is from Chuck, meaning that not only will you have to relearn everything but that Leta will be intensely frustrated. (I base this presumption upon what would be the most ironic, which is how things have generally turned out with regards to babies I've known.)

Congratulations to the family. I also have 2 girls and they are alternately best friends or sworn enemies. Mine are only 51 weeks apart though and are now teenagers, so that's a bit different. Also, my youngest is taller than the oldest so for us it's actually hand me ups v. downs!

Not to poo on your parade, but I can think of at least 5 people who were not forecast properly by an ultrasound; 2 boys were supposed to be Amber and Jennifer, and the father of three girls had been told thrice that his wife was expecting a baby boy. Not to mention a girl in high school who was originally believed to be her mother's tumor.

And bless you for at least admitting that the circumcision thing is a real issue. I'm gestating Boy #2 right now. We circumcised Boy #1 because we are Jewish and there is GREAT GREAT GREAT family pressure. But I honestly don't know if we can do it again, and if we don't we may be inviting an irreparable rift with my Very Jewish in-laws, whom I otherwise love. I wouldn't wish this stress on anyone.

When my now 14-year-old was in her princess stage, she told me one day that when SHE grew up, SHE was going to live in a CASTLE. This came up while she was supposed to be cleaning up the toys in her room and was getting nowhere fast.
I thought I had outflanked her when I replied, "Castles are awfully big. They're even harder to clean than your bedroom."
But Princess put her hands on her hips and declared, "Mom, the SERVANTS do that." The "duh!" was implied but silent.
Congrats to you and Jon on the pending birth of Princess Aurora, and to Princess Leta for getting her wish.

When I saw your first "bump" photo I thought it was a boy. BUT ~ when I saw your 18 week pic I KNEW it was a girl!
I've never been pregnant but my Mom (God rest her precious soul) used to always tell me that it was a girl if you can see the pregnancy around the sides and the bump is low.
You look beautiful and, as an only child who always wanted a little brother or sister, I'm so excited that Leta gets her wish for a Little Sis. She'll be a terrific Big Sis no doubt ;-)
